HARD ROCK LITHIUM

The largest concentrations of lithium-containing minerals are found in granitic pegmatites.

The most important of these minerals are spodumene (Li2O, Al2O3, 4SiO2) and petalite (Li2O, Al2O3, 8SiO2).

Spodumene has a theoretical Li2O content of 8.03%. Due to this high lithium content, spodumene is considered the most important lithium mineral.

A typical run of mine ore can contain 1-2% LI2O, while a typical spodumene concentrate suitable for lithium carbonate production contains 5.5-6.5% Li2O.

PROJECT AREAS

Located North of Val-d’Or with over 18,000 hectares of claims strategically located adjacent to Sayona’s restarted lithium operation

Adjacent to Mine Operations

In August of 2021, Sayona Québec completed its acquisition of the previous North American Lithium (NAL) plant adjacent to several of Jourdan Resources claims.

A subsidiary of lithium producers Sayona and Piedmont Lithium, Sayona Québec has now restarted production at NAL’s mine in March 2023.
